Toshiko Shiroma

Toshiko “Ethel” Shiroma, 98, of Hilo, died Dec. 31 (2022) at home. She was born in Hakalau and was a retired salesclerk with the Singer Co. and was also a member of the Church of the Holy Cross. Private services held. No koden (monetary donations). He is survived by sons, Melvin (Victoria) Shiroma of Oahu, Milton Y. (Diane) Shiroma, Myles (Claire) Shiroma, Henry Shiroma Jr. and Craig (Joann) Shiroma, all of Hilo; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Clifford Streety

Clifford Larry Streety, 78, of Pahoa died Jan. 30 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he was a former munitions personnel and veteran with the U.S. Army. Services to take place on the mainland at a later date. Survived by siblings, Carl D. Casey of Arizona, Roger D. Casey of Arizona, Veronica Ellen Walker of Arizona; numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn Incardona

Marilyn Marceline Grose Incardona, 82, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 7, 2023 in Kealakekua. Born Nov. 7, 1940, in San Jose, California, she worked as a loan officer in banking. She is survived by spouse Paul Incardona; son Mike Incardona of Ceres, California; daughter Mary Ann (Jack Bengston) Incardona of Gold Canyon, Arizona; brother LeRoy (Sue) Grose of Kailua Kona, Hawai’i; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Harriet Ichinotsubo

Harriet Lehua Ichinotsubo, 76, of Pepeekeo died Nov. 25, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kapoho, she was a floral nursery worker and member of various kupuna hula groups. Visitation from 9-10:30 a.m. Feb. 25 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire. She is survived by husband, Lawrence Ichinotsubo of Pepeekeo; daughters, DaisyAnn Digennaro of Hilo, Cheryllynn (Ben Alvarado) Alidon of Keaau; sons, Richard (Myrtle Zoppy) Alidon of Keaau, Michael (Lisa Medeiros) Alidon of Keaau, Christopher (Jaydene Kaawaloa) Alidon of Kalapana; brothers, Harold Aiona of Kalapana, Arthur Aiona of Oregon, Jaime (Faye Hanohano) Julian of Pahoa; sisters-in-law, Florence Aiona of Opihikao, Sheila Aiona of Opihikao; father of her children, Richard Alidon, Sr. of Keaau; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Asaichi Hokomoto

Asaichi “Asa” Hokomoto, 96, of Hilo, formerly of Pepeekeo, died Dec. 28, 2022, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was retired from the former Hilo Coast Processing Company, a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and member of Honomu Hongwanji Kyodan and Koyukai, ILWU Pensioner Club and Honomu Kupuna Pride Senior Softball League. Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers. He is survived by son, Neil (Ann) Hokomoto of Hilo; sister-in-law, Pauline Hokomoto of Hilo; grandson, Dylan Hokomoto; numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
