The Hawaii Artist Collaboration event has raised funds once again for Hawaii Island art teachers K-12 who are in need of supplies for their classes.

Forty Collaboration artists from Hawaii and around the world gathered in Holualoa for one week in late October 2022 to create 80 unique works of art which were auctioned off to collectors at a gala event held at the West Hawaii Community Health Center. These career artists believe that making art is an important part of education as it encourages problem solving and creative approaches to many learning situations.

Proceeds from the event, together with additional generous support from Akamai Art Supply, are available to art teachers needing help with supplies.

The Hawaii Artist Collaboration grant application form may be picked up at the store in the Kaloko Industrial area or contact Akamai Art Supply via email at Johanna@akamaiart.com to request the form or for more information.
