The Prince Dance Company is presenting “Bloom,” a theatrical dance and aerial performance, this weekend at the Kahilu Theatre.

Featuring upper-level students of Prince Dance, the event “promises to be a breathtaking showcase of burgeoning talent and skill,” according to a press release.

“Bloom” is the coming-of-age story of teenagers Luana and Tao growing up in Hawaii. Their friendship deepens as they lean on each other to find their place in this world.

“Bloom is about every one of us,” Prince Dance founder Angel Prince said in the release. “We all have the power to write our own stories and become the best version of ourselves. Through ‘Bloom,’ we hope to inspire audiences to embrace their own unique journeys and celebrate the beauty of growth and change.”

“Bloom” combines traditional and contemporary dance styles with aerial acrobatics to create “a mesmerizing performance that is inspiring for all ages.”

The show will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday at the Kahilu Theatre in Waimea.

Tickets for “Bloom,” which range from $15 to $50, are on sale now and can be purchased through the Kahilu Theatre website at kahilutheatre.org.
