Child &Family Service (CFS), Hawaii’s family-centered, full-service nonprofit on Saturday hosted a Child and Family Fun Day for Kona families at Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i at Kahalu‘u Ma Kai. The free family-focused event offered giveaways, crafts, food, informational fun booths, entertainment, and more. CFS staff were on hand to share and enroll families in their programs and services.

The family-centered event provided entertainment and education on CFS programs for West Hawaii families.

CFS is a “Hawaii-born,” impact driven, nonprofit community-based organization that has been serving Hawaii’s families since 1899. Its mission is dedicated to strengthening families and fostering the healthy development of children. Through an array of statewide programs that welcome everyone from keiki to kupuna across the Islands, CFS helps Hawaii families address some of life’s most serious situations including poverty, abuse, and neglect. CFS proves its effectiveness with data and results; from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022, CFS provided direct services to 14,991 individuals and touched another 76,500 lives through phone calls, referrals, educational presentations, and by providing for those visiting walk-in family centers.
