Daisy Naihe

Daisy Luhia Naihe, 89, of Hilo, died Aug. 12 at home. She was born in Kohala and was an assistant dining room manager with the former original Naniloa Hotel and was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Keaukaha Ward. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, (Sept. 8) at the Hilo Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Homelani Memorial Park. Aloha attire; no flowers. Survived by daughters Daisy Mae (Rudolph) Kamohai, Lurae (Charles Koba) Hanohano, Candace (Daniel) Aina and Tracey (Raynard) Kapuni of Hilo, Elizabeth (Lance) Benevides of Volcano and Lee Ann (Leonard) Napierskie of Neosho, Mo.; son, Robert (Tina Marie) Naihe, Jr. of Hawi; sisters, Theresa Mahi of Kalaoa-Kona, Cynthia Hatanaka of La Palma, Calif. and Vivian Kim of Niulii; brother, Charles Phillip of Brooksville, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Phillip of Marina, Calif., Linda Naihe of Halaula, Kohala, Blanche Naihe of Philadelphia, Pa. and Kathy Carvalho of Hilo; 25 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Nely Fudolig

Nely Cabrera Fudolig, 75, of Honokaa &Kamuela, Hawaii and Las Vegas, Nevada, died on Monday, August 14, 2023 at St. Rose Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on February 17, 1948 in Arrio Ugab, Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. She was a cook at Kalani’s Drive Inn, bartender at Kamuela Steakhouse, line worker at Hawaiian Holiday Mac Nut and retired as a clerk at Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa. She was a former member of the Saranay Club of Honokaa and a local 5 representative. Friends may call on Thursday (Sept. 7, 2023) from 9 a.m. at 64-409 Leleaka Loop, Lakeland, Waimea for an All Night Vigil. Friends may call on Friday (Sept. 8, 2023) from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Annunciation Catholic Church at 65-1235 Kawaihae Road, Waimea, Hawaii for a 9 a.m. Mass followed by burial at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery at 72-3245 Queen Kaahumanu Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. The family requests that casual attire be worn and that flowers are welcome. Survived by, husband, Carmelito Fudolig of Honokaa &Kamuela, Hawaii and Las Vegas, Nevada; sons, Nolito Fudolig of Kamuela and Carlo (Meliss Sugata) Fudolig of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters, MariaAngela (Joel) Busque of Las Vegas, Nevada and Natalie (Jeffrey) Castillo of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers, Charlie Cabrera, Sr. of Honokaa and Greg (Sonya) Cabrera of Florida; sister, Lydia (Francisco) Resurreccion of Florida; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Keone Ka‘awalani

Keone George Ka‘awalani Glory, 46, of Kohala died Aug. 18. He was born in Hilo and was a heavy equipment operator as well as a man of numerous talents, he enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and ranching but most of all helping everyone around him. Celebration of life to be announced at a later date. Survived by wife, Millicent Salvador-Glory of Kohala; sons, Azariah Seidel-Glory (Bailey) of Honoka’a, Deon Seidel-Glory and Austin Salvador-Racoma (Tyrah) of Kohala; daughter, Kiani Salvador-Glory of Kohala; mother, Gertrude Glory of Kohala; brothers, Joseph (Kalaniwela) Glory, Jr. of Hilo and Adam Glory of Kohala; hanai sister, Ipo Chang of Oahu; two granddaughters; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and extended family.
