The public information meeting about the Kalaoa Solar Project scheduled for Nov. 13 has been postponed until Dec. 6.

Nexamp, a community-based renewable energy developer and operator, is holding a hybrid public information meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 6, to share information about the Kalaoa Solar Project, a proposed renewable energy facility being built on the mauka side of Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway in Kalaoa.

The Kalaoa Solar Project will generate clean power and help lower electricity costs for qualified low- to moderate-income subscribers, while also supporting Hawaii’s goal to be 100% renewable by 2045.

The public meeting at the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority will include an explanation of CBRE and how it works, an overview of the Kalaoa Solar Project and time for questions and answers.

Members of the public wanting to participate in the meeting are asked to register at https://bit.ly/KalaoaSolarMtgRSVP.

The Kalaoa Solar Project is part of Hawaiian Electric’s CBRE LMI shared solar program, meaning that community members who meet certain LMI income requirements are eligible to enroll and subscribe for credits to lower their electric bill.
