Winter Intersession Programs open for registration

The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation announces the opening of registration for its 2023 Winter Intersession Programs.

Three programs are scheduled to take place across Hawaii Island, offering opportunities for keiki to engage in fun and enriching activities that promote physical fitness, creativity and social interaction.

Program details:

•Pi‘ihonua Gym in Hilo

Dates: Friday, Dec. 22, to Friday, Jan. 5 Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Eligible participants: first through sixth grades

Registration Fee: $45 per participant (limited to 60 participants)

•Spencer Kalani Schutte District Park in Waimea

Dates: Tuesday, Dec. 26, to Friday, Jan. 5 Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Eligible participants: Kindergarten through sixth grades

Registration fee: $45 per participant (limited to 20 participants)

•Papa‘ikou Gym in North Hilo

Dates: Tuesday, Dec. 26, to Friday, Jan. 5

Time: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm

Registration fee: $40 per participant (limited to 20 participants)

Please note that programs will not be in session on Monday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Jan. 1, in observance of the holidays.
