The win moved the Warriors to 3-0, and marked their third BIIF Division I rival downed on the season.

The Vikings outlasted KSH for a 26-24 win in the first set, but couldn’t maintain control as the Warriors rolled to victory in sets of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-17.

Tanoa Latiti also notched four blocks.

Setters Kalena Launiu and Jayson Nakata got 27 and 18 assists, respectively.

Both teams each have one outing left before next week, when BIIF volleyball will go on hold for the Haili Tournament.

Hilo (2-1) will host Waiakea High (1-1) at 6 p.m. Thursday for the pair of rivals’ first regular season matchup.

On Saturday morning, KSH will host Kealakehe High (0-2) for the second time in a week. Last Saturday, the Warriors and Waveriders went to five sets before KSH prevailed.
