Some people just don’t get it.
People like Eric Weinert who wrote a letter to West Hawaii Today wondering why Democrats are discouraging a third party candidate, Robert Kennedy Jr., from running for president. You’re right, that’s what they’re doing.
It’s because if he runs he will steal votes from Joe Biden and hand over our country to the dangerous clutches of the fat man.
Kennedy Jr. spews out his political speeches, but like every independent, is only running to see his name in the paper. He wants his 15 minutes, that’s it.
He has that shining Democrat Kennedy name but a closer look reveals that he’s an anti-vaxxer, he thinks the January 6 insurrection was no big thing and will stop funds for Ukraine. He’s a Kennedy in name only, a twisted Kennedy.
Independents put on a good show, but it’s a cheap, hollow act. It’s a mathematical impossibility they could win, but they keep up the phony act to the end.
Bozo the clown could run against Joe Biden, and if a third candidate gets in the race, Bozo would win. That’s pretty much what’s going on now.
Third parties have infected elections for years.
In 2000 Ralph Nader split the vote and ruined it for Al Gore, giving us that mental midget George W. Bush. Wikipedia states that, “If Nader had not participated as a third party Al Gore would have won.”
Next, Bernie Sanders put down Hillary Clinton so badly in 2016 that Democrats voted Trump in as president. Bernie’s anti-Clinton tirades in four key states gave those electoral votes to Trump putting him over the edge. Sanders poisoned these states against Hillary and she lost. Bernie got Trump elected and we feel the burn.
Independents torpedo Republicans, too. In 1992 third wheel Ross Perot stole votes from George Bush senior causing Bill Clinton to win.
This time it’s Kennedy Jr. bringing down Joe Biden. In Yahoonews.com Trump said of Kennedy, “I love that he’s running.” It’s because Kennedy will elect him.
We hope that people can see through this charade and know that even if Kennedy Jr. promised us the moon and stars and free money and Spam for life, he can’t possibly win, and we won’t get anything he promises.
And remember, a vote for Robert Kennedy Jr. is a vote for Trump.
Be faithful fellow Democrats, and all others who grimace at 4 more years of seeing Trump on the news, and worrying about what horrendous disaster he’s conjured up that day. God save us from another 4 years of that.
Yes, Mr. Wieinert, it’s the right of every American to run for president, but it’s also the right of every American to hit themselves in the head with a baseball bat.
It’s just some rights we don’t have to exercise, like having an independent run for office and wreck everything.
Don’t fall for this third party clown act. Vote for the only real candidate, Joe Biden, and we might have a country 4 years from now.
