The Hawaii Police Department received numerous 911 calls Monday morning in response to an April Fool’s joke.

A local radio station falsely reported on its website that Saddle Road was closed at mile marker 28 because of a lava flow. The false report was an April Fool’s Day prank, police said.

Saddle Road is open and there is no lava flow anywhere near that area, police said.
