David Pauole

David Kalauli Pauole, 71, of Keaau died April 30, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 28, 1942, in Kailua-Kona, he was a former waiter and busboy at the Hukilau Hotel, coffee, ginger and papaya farmer and member of the Kuakahela, Kealohapauole and the Kaawa Kalauli ohana.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. May 30 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 5 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 9 a.m. June 1 at the end of the runway at Old Kona Airport Park for a prayer service. Inurnment is at 11 a.m. at Holualoa Catholic Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by brother, Edwin (Rebecca) Paulole of Kailua-Kona; caregivers, Imedgio (Estela) Ellazar of Keaau, Leslie Ann Ellazar of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
