The Blue Sea Artisans Gallery featured artist for the month of March is acrylic, watercolor and oil painter Collie Will.

Will’s art interest was sparked and developed in first grade when her art teacher wanted her artwork for a display and other children would ask her for help drawing things. In high school, she took art classes and art forever became a part of her life. During her two and half decades of teaching children, she took art classes from local artists and art became a way of defining herself, sharing her inspiration and getting relaxation. Since Will moved to Kona, she joined the Kona Arts Center, paints there every week and displays her art there. She has been a member of the Blue Sea Artisans for a few years.

The Blue Sea Artisans will host a featured artist’s reception for Will from 1 to 4 p.m. March 8 at its gallery at Kona International Market, north side of the Makai building, at 74-5533 Luhia St., Kailua-Kona.

For more information, call the gallery at 329-8000. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.
