The Keaau Fire Station in Puna will receive 960 rolls of Charmin toilet paper — a year supply for 20 firefighters.

The Hawaii Island fire station is among 50 firehouses in 50 states to receive 960 rolls from Charmin through its Charmin Relief Project.

Charmin recently asked consumers to share stories via Facebook and Twitter of firehouses in their communities that were had sub-par bathroom conditions. The brand then picked one in each state that could use the extra support.

Charmin says America’s firefighters put their behinds on the line day in and day out, to keep their communities safe, and they wanted to do something to help this much loved but often underfunded group of public servants. Since firehouses often serve as a second home for many firefighters, Charmin wants to bring the comforts of home to these everyday heroes.

In addition to the donation, Charmin will select five firehouses across the nation that will receive a bathroom minimakeover.

Since 2012, Charmin has donated more than 130,000 rolls of toilet paper.
