Hawaiian Airlines ranked among top domestic carriers by Travel + Leisure readers

Hawaiian Airlines was recently ranked among the top domestic carriers by readers of Travel + Lesiure magazine.

In the top domestic airlines category of the magazine’s 2014 World’s Best Awards, readers who participated in a survey ranked Hawaiian Airlines third overall. Ahead of Hawaiian were Virgin America and JetBlue Airways. Hawaiian beat Southwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

Hawaiian Airlines has received a ranking among the top domestic carriers to Hawaii for six years now, according to the airline.

The results of the survey, conducted between Dec. 2, 2013, and March 31 were released by the magazine last week.

“Our teams on the ground and in the air work hard to deliver the very best Hawaiian service to all of our guests, so we are thrilled to see their efforts recognized in this survey,” said Dunkerley, Hawaiian Airlines president and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “Recognizing that every trip to Hawai’i is special, we will work hard to ensure that Hawaiian remains the carrier of choice when visiting the islands.”

Travel + Leisure is a travel industry publications with a readership largely comprised of world travelers. The magazine’s 2014 World’s Best Awards are announced in the August issue and include rankings of best hotels, cities, islands, airlines tour operators and safari outriggers, rental-car agencies, destination spas and hotel spas worldwide.

Hawaiian offers non-stop service to Hawaii from 11 U.S. gateway cities, as well as service from Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa and Tahiti. Hawaiian also provides approximately 160 jet flights daily between the Hawaiian Islands, with a total of more than 200 daily flights system-wide.
