Hawaii County Council Member Dru Kanuha, Central Kona, joined the National Association of Counties’ Agriculture and Rural Affairs Steering Committee.

The committee members play a role in advancing legislative and policy priorities important to the nation’s counties. The committee will address all matters pertaining to legislation and administrative actions affecting agriculture, rural development programs, rural renewable energy development, research and extension, food safety, and U.S. Department of Agriculture conservation programs, officials said.
