This year, Kealakehe Elementary School is focusing on General Learner Outcomes. Each month focuses on a different GLO.

During the month of September, students are focusing on being community contributors. In honor of this, Kealakehe Elementary partnered with the American Red Cross to raise money for the Hawaii State Disaster Relief Fund.

Teachers collected “Pennies for Puna” in their classrooms for two weeks. The students and staff raised a total of $1,055 to be donated to the American Red Cross to be used to help the people in Puna after Tropical Storm Iselle.
