‘Macbeth’ shown at Makalapua Cinemas
The Metropolitan Opera HD Live season 2014-15 begins with a production of “Macbeth” by Giuseppe Verdi at 12:55 p.m. Oct. 11 at Makalapua Stadium Cinemas. An encore will be screened at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15.
Handweavers share art with public
Members of Hawaii Handweavers’ Hui invite the public to celebrate the joy of handweaving from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Oct. 10 at Island Yarn and Art Supplies, 73-5568 Olowalu St. in Kailua-Kona.
Information about area spinning and weaving activities will be shared, work will be displayed and visitors may try weaving on one of the group’s looms.
