Police investigate Hilo school burglary

Hawaii police are investigating a burglary that was discovered over the weekend at Haili Christian School in Hilo.

Sometime between 1:30 p.m. Friday and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, unknown persons entered several classrooms at the private school at 190 Ululani Street and removed a Cannon camera and lenses, two Kamaka ukuleles, another ukulele imprinted with foreign words, a red HD web camera, a Bible and cash, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Police ask that anyone with information about this case or the identity of the burglars call the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311 or Officer Wayne Kenison at 961-2213.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
