The Mauna Kea Access Road reopened Tuesday afternoon, the Mauna Kea Weather Center said.
The road was closed this weekend because of storm runoff caused by Hurricane Ana that resulted in extensive erosion and damage to the unpaved portion of the road above the Visitor Information Station.
