David Sargent Bratt, 31, of Kapaau died Dec. 9, 2014, at Kohala Hospital. Born Sept. 21, 1983, in Calcutta, India, he was a landscaping business owner.

Lana Napoleon

Lana Marie Napoleon, 62, of Keaau died Dec. 5, 2014, at a private care home. Born in Olaa, she was a retired assistant deli manager at Sack N Save in Hilo.

She is survived by sons, Corey (Miya) Napoleon of Kaiwiki, Ryan (Katrish) Napoleon of Hilo; daughters, Shaelyn (Conrad) Sagucio of Hilo, Georgianne (Alfred) Nacionales of Keaau; hanai daughters, Kathrine Terrill, Macy Napoleon, both of Hilo; caregiver, Julie Nacionales of Keaau; brothers, John Milare of Kurtistown, Allen Milare of Honolulu, Ronnie Milare of Tacoma, Wash.; sister, Miriam (Jerry) Fernandez of Hilo; 15 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jonathan Sensano

Jonathan “Jon” A.V. Sensano, 37, of Hilo died Dec. 8, 2014, at his residence. Born April 14, 1977, in Honolulu, he was an adult corrections officer and U.S. Air Force veteran.

He is survived by daughter, Shyani Sensano, of Hilo; mother, Priscilla Sensano, of Hilo; sisters, Arlette (Edwin) Aguiar and Allena (Wendell) Vincent, both of Hilo; brother, Frank (Tracie) Sensano, of Hilo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Lillian Farias

Lillian “Linda” Farias, 86, of Hilo died Dec. 6, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she retired as a cook for Chiefess Kapiolani Elementary school.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Dec. 15 at Malia Puka O Kalani Church for a 10:30 a.m. service. Burial will follow at noon at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by daughter, Paulette (Mark) Pang-Ching; sisters, Lorraine Jardine, Maile DeSilva, all of Hilo; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alberta Lindsay

Alberta Lindsay, 91, of Hilo died Nov. 26, 2014, at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Philadelphia, she served with the U.S. Navy WAVES during World War II. She was a singer, teacher, counselor, school psychologist and principal. She was also a member in the League of Women Voters and the American Association of University Women.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Dec. 15 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn. Burial will take place at a later date at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pa. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations may be made to the Pearl S. She is survived by daughter, Andrea Lindsay of Volcano; son, William Lindsay Jr. of Doylestown, Pa., numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronald Yamada

Ronald Leialoha Yamada, 84, of Hilo died Dec. 7, 2014, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Feb. 18, 1930, in Laupahoehoe, he was a retired quarry manager for YS Rock and a member of Kinoole Baptist Church and Komohana Kumiai.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. Dec. 17 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by wife, Cecilia Yamada; sons, Barry Yamada, Clyde (Susan) Yamada, Nathan (Kim) Yamada, all of Hilo, Vernon (Marsha) Yamada of Pukalani, Maui; daughters, Karen (Jeff) Loo, Lisa Yamada, both of Hilo, Gwen (Stuart) Benevedes of Kailua, Oahu; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Harry Chong

Harry Sinn You Chong, 93, of Waimea died Nov. 25. He was born in Honolulu and was a retired pump maintenance operator.

Private services were held.

He is survived by son, Harrison (Ilena) Chong of Honolulu; daughter, Kathy (Abe) Sakamoto of Waimea; brothers, Clarence (Nani) Chong and Robert (Mary) Chong, both of Honolulu; sisters, Henrietta Aveiro of Honolulu, Wilhelmina (Roy) Dailey of Iowa; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Herman Gramberg Sr.

Herman Waha Gramberg Sr., 92, of Hilo died Nov. 6, 2014, at the Shoal Creek Rehabilitation Center of Crestview, Fla. Born Sept. 13, 1922, in Kailua, Oahu, he was a retired truck driver for Standard Oil Company of Hilo and an employee of National and Alamo car rental companies. He was a member of Hale O Na Alii, and Lanikai, Kamehameha and Wailani Canoe Clubs.

He is survived by sons, Herman Gramberg Jr., Douglas Gramberg, Wayne Gramberg, all of San Francisco, Dean (Christina) Gramberg of Lavergne, Tenn.; daughters, Ginger Gramberg of Canyonville, Ore., Debra (Greg) Berger of Crestview, Fla.; stepdaughter, Marvis (Daniel) Kerr of Kapaa, Kauai; sisters, Rosebud Lee of Kaneohe, Oahu, Darilynn Rodillas of Kailua, Oahu; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Chung Ye Kim

Chung Ye Kim, 92, of Hilo died Nov. 28, 2014, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she was a retired housemaid. She was also a member of Hilo Korean Christian Church.

Private services were held.

She is survived by sons, Kap Dong (Nan Sun) Kim of Honolulu, Kap Bong (Chung Suk) Kim of Los Angeles, Joseph (Mi Hee) Kim of Hilo, David Kim of Hilo, Christian (Yee Suh) Kim of Seoul, South Korea; daughter, Grace Kim of Kansas City, Mo.; brothers, Sung Tea (Young Ae) Kwak of Seoul, South Korea, Sung Hee (Gi Hyeun) Kwak of Seoul, South Korea and Sung Kee (Susan) Kwak of Hilo; sister, Chong Ja (Hoon) Park of Hilo; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
