Hawaii Island police have located a missing Big Island man who was wanted on warrants and for questioning in a terroristic threatening investigation.

Kalyp Rapoza, 23, of Hilo was arrested Friday night and charged with contempt of court, violating terms of release and discharge of sureties.

He was also arrested on suspicion of terroristic threatening, police said. He was taken to the Hilo police cellblock while detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations Section continued the investigation, which was for an alleged threat to neighbors on Kawailani Street in Hilo on April 23.

At 10:15 a.m. Sunday, detectives charged Rapoza with first-degree terroristic threatening. His bail was set at $10,000.

He remained in the cellblock until his initial court appearance on Monday.
