Tadao Tasaka

Tadao Tasaka, 92, of Honokaa was a retired mechanic for the former Davies Sugar Co. in Haina, near Honokaa.

Losa Fauhiva

Losa Fauhiva 66, of Ocean View died June 2, 2015. Born Jan. 1, 1949, in Tonga, she was an upholsterer for Lormax Upholstery.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. June 13 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Holualoa for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Kona Memorial Park.

She is survived by husband, Lemoto Fauhiva of Kailua-Kona; son, Toni Fauhiva of Tonga; daughters, Lani Fauhiva (Kekoa Ynigues) of Kailua-Kona, Malia Hungalu of Ocean View, Fehoko (Faiki) Akaveka of Australia, Mitna (Mosese) Taumoefolau of Tonga; brothers, Kalolo (Suli) Tangatailoa of Lahaina, Maui, Pau Tangatailoa of Hayward, Calif.; sisters, Sisioloni (Sosefo) Sili of Mesa, Ariz., Lesina Lolesio of Tonga, Salia of Australia; 16 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony Kane

Tony Kane, 70, of Hookena died June 5, 2015, at his residence. Born Sept. 27, 1944, in Honolulu, he was a retired mason, commercial fisherman and caretaker of Hookena Beach and member of the Hookena Beach Ono Outrigger Tournament and the West Hawaii Hawaiian Men’s Golf Club.

A celebration of his life and scattering of ashes will be held at 9 a.m. June 13 at Hookena Beach. Family requests casual attire be worn. Loose flowers are welcome.

He is survived by sons, Tony (Candice) Kane of Kahaluu, Oahu, Bronson (Lea) Kane of Kawaihae; daughters, Marie (J.R.) Kaupu of Holualoa, Lani (Kai) Kane of Lahaina, Maui, Marla (Nathan) Kane of Kawaihae; hanai sons, Pono (Summer) Dacalio of Pahala, Jay Dacalio of Honolulu, Jimbo Dacalio of Ocean View; hanai daughters, Celeste Acia-Lorenz of Hookena, Chantel Dacalio of Kealakehe; sisters, Rosemary (Bunny) Grace of Kaohe, Carrie Ann of Ocean View, Leilani (Lester) Lorenz-Acia of Hookena, Joyce (Rocky) Mamac of Honaunau; hanai brothers, Paul (Sylvia) Morris of Kealia, Alan Cambra, Godfrey Kihe and Bruce (Franny) Hashimoto, all of Hookena; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kiku Nagai

Kiku Nagai, 86, of Hilo died May 30, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 16, 1929, in Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, she was a homemaker and member of Taishoji Soto Mission.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. June 15 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, Hideo Nagai of Hilo; sons, Michael (Sylvia) Nagai and Dennis (Maria) Nagai, both of Hilo; sister, Fuki Sakuramori of Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Steven Silva

Steven Brian Silva, 55, of Keaau died May 26, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born June 29, 1959, in Honolulu, he was a mobile home builder and member of the band Garage Gang.

He is survived by wife, Virginia Silva of Keaau, daughters, Joeanne (Elliot) Apilano of Wahiawa, Oahu, Vanessa (Kanuu Faris) Silva-Lorenzo of Paradise Park, Wanita Silva-Lorenzo of Honolulu, Sherry Silva-Lorenzo of Columbus, Neb.; sons, Jacob (Kathleen Clemons) Silva-Lorenzo of Paradise Park, Justine Silva of Hilo; brothers, Richard Silva Jr., Russell (Tara Kealoha) Silva , both of Hilo, Michael Silva of Paradise Park, ; sister, Pamela Grindstaff of Hilo; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Alejo Tejada Sr.

Alejo T. Tejada Sr., 87, of Keaau died May 20, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Nov. 28, 1927, in Pangasinan, Philippines, he retired from the former Puna Sugar Co. as a senior laboratory analyst.

Private services were held.

He is survived by wife, Felicidad Tejada of Keaau; sons, Nestor Tejada, Alejo (Alma Yano) Tejada Jr. and Edward (Gwen) Tejada, all of Keaau; daughter, Jane (Eric) Kurosawa of Hilo; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby Lauae Hicks, 85, of Hilo died June 2, 2015, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Laupahoehoe, she retired from The county of Hawaii.

She is survived by son, Ralph Ynigues of Honolulu; daughter, Roberta Kaaumoana of Hilo; brother, Thomas Ynigues of Honolulu; sisters, Ruth Navalta of Hilo, Mary Alfiler of Paauilo, Lucy (David) Meyer of Hilo, Beatrice (Edwin) Narte of California; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, and nephews.

Sheridan Lehua Camacho, 69, of Hilo died May 29, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahala, she was a homemaker.
