Seven people escaped injury during a structure fire Tuesday morning in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates, the Hawaii County Fire Department reported.

Responding to a 10:17 a.m. alarm, firefighters arrived on the scene to find a 32-by-34-foot, single-story structure at 92-8841 Coral Parkway fully involved, according to the Hawaii County Fire Department. Seven people who were inside the structure when the fire broke out evacuated the structure before firefighters arrived.

The American Red Cross said volunteers were responding to assist the residents to ensure their immediate emergency needs for food, shelter and clothing are met.

Damage to the structure was estimated at $10,000, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
