Alii Drive will be closed Tuesday afternoon between Palani Road and St. Michael’s Church for the Ironkids Keiki Dip ʻn Dash and Parade of Nations.

The road closure, which affects both directions of travel, will begin at 3:30 p.m. and end at 7 p.m., according to Ironman.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to reach their destination during the road closure.

The United Healthcare Ironkids Keiki Dip ʻn Dash, which starts at 4 p.m., provides a venue for children ages 5 to 15 to become “Ironkids.” Participants compete on the same, but shorter, course as athletes in the Ironman World Championship. The age-appropriate fun aims to help stem the rising tide of childhood obesity through exercise and healthy lifestyles.

The Parade of Nations, which commences at 5 p.m., will showcase the competitors who have come to town from all over the world to compete in the annual triathlon.
