Lillian Schattauer

Lillian Perreira Schattauer, 95, of Hilo died Oct. 8, 2015, at Hale Puuhonua Care Home in Keaau. Born March 24, 1920, in Hilo, she was a retired chief operator for the former Hawaiian Telephone Co. and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Saint Joseph Aloha Choir.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 26 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Urn committal service follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by sister, Patricia Fergerstrom of Hilo; hanai children, Patti (Wallace Tamashiro) Fergerstrom-Tamashiro, Cindy (Fred Palea) Fergerstrom-Palea, Patward (Debbie) Fergerstrom, all of Hilo, Joshua (Rondy) Arquero of Maui; stepsons, Paul (Susan) Schattauer of Atlanta, Donald (Linda) Schattauer of Aloha, Ore.; stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Angel Macanas

Angel Macanas, 72, of Pepeekeo died Oct. 16, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Sept 29, 1943, in Pepeekeo, he was a field supervisor for Royal Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Co., an Army veteran and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. Oct. 28 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Burial is at noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Georgeanna Macanas of Pepeekeo; sons, Angel (Edna) Macanas Jr. and Vernon Macanas, both of Pepeekeo; daughter, Cindy Macanas of Waianae, Oahu; sisters, Natividad Pinzon of Pepeekeo, Francisca Pajarillo of Aiea, Oahu, Genoveva (Fernando) Gomez of Hilo; brothers, Juan (Arsenia) Macanas and Erdulfo Mangibin, both of Pepeekeo, Edmando (Mavis) Mangibin of Hilo; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Trinidad Baybayan

Trinidad “Dolly” Pascual Baybayan, 77, of Mountain View died Oct. 5, 2015, at home. Born Oct. 14, 1937, in Napoopoo, she was an accounts clerk for the ARC of Hilo disabilities charities and nonprofit organizations in Hawaii.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Oct. 30 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Burial is at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by son, Glenn (Kathy) Baybayan of Puna; daughters, Carmen Baybayan of Kapolei, Oahu, Carlyn (Rainer) Werner of Mountain View; brother, Narciso (Ruth) Fernandez of Kona; sisters, Feliza Padilla, Rose Rasay and Ruth (George) Aguiar, all of Hilo; five granddaughters; five great-granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard Crivello

Richard “Pineapple” Crivello, 77, of Lancaster, Calif., died Sept. 17, 2015, in Lancaster, Calif. Born May 25, 1938, in Papaikou, he was a retired employee of General Motors and an Army veteran.

Freinds may call at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 30 at the National Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) for a service.

He is survived by sisters, Jacqueline Breitbach of Oregon, Diana Ho of Oahu; 12 nieces and nephews.

Lois Tyler

Lois Mitsuyo Takayesu Tyler, 85, of Honolulu died Oct. 6, 2015, in Honolulu. Born Dec. 26, 1929, on Maui, she was a retired teacher from Kona with Department of Education.

No service are planned.

She is survived by husband, Alan Tyler.

Thomas Smith

Thomas “Jerry” Jerome Smith, 90, of Pepeekeo died Oct. 17, 2015, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Erie, Pa., he was a retired math teacher and World War II Army veteran.

Private services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by hanai daughters, Melonee Kahaunaele, Patricia Enos, Amber Ferreira; one cousin.

Murray Williams

Murray “Mur Man” Frederick Williams, 53, of Honaunau died Oct. 16, 2015, at Life Care Center of Kona. Born June 18, 1962 in Wailuku, Maui, he was a Special Olympics athlete.

Private service were held. Memorial donations in his name may be sent to the Special Olympics Hawaii Chapter. Condolences may be sent to the family at P.O. Box 290, Honaunau, HI 96726.

He is survived by father, David Williams of Lahaina, Maui; sister, Sheila (Richard) Archibald of Honaunau; one nephew.
