Benigno Dela Cruz

Benigno Tomas “Apo Benigno” Dela Cruz, 101, of Ahualoa died Oct. 31, 2015, at his residence. Born Nov. 22, 1913, in Bgy. No. 49 Darayday, Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he worked for Hamakua Sugar Mill Co. in Paauilo.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Nov. 14 at Dodo Mortuary dhapel for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by son, Romel (Jodean) Dela Cruz of Honokaa; daughter, Alice (Clyde) Bailado of Paauilo; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Marta Domingo

Marta Alejandro Domingo, 69, of Hawi died Nov. 1, 2015, at her family’s residence. Born April 30, 1946, in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was disable and a member of the Kohala Senior Citizens and St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church.

Friends may call at 1 p.m. Nov. 15 at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Kapaau for a 3 p.m. service. Burial follows in the church’s cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by brothers, Sergio (Lising) Domingo of Maui, Rizal (Norma) Domingo of Kapaau; sisters, Estrella Matias of Oahu, Catalina Morales and Lourdes (Teofilo) Calano, both of Hawi, Teresita (Felix) Calano of Canada, Antonia Ariola of Philippines, Paz (Leopoldo) Rivera of Kapaau; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margaret Pacheco

Margaret Betty Pacheco, 90, of Hilo died Nov. 6, 2015, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Nov. 16 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by sons, Robert (Becky) Pacheco of Pepeekeo, Douglas Pacheco of Hilo; daughters, Shirley (Baltazar) Pacheco-Vega of California, Linda (Wayne) Kuanoni and Peggy (Gerard Guerrero) Pacheco, both of Hilo, Betty (Henry) Fortin of Keaau, Dolly Jean (Wayne) Pavao of Hawaiian Paradise Park; brothers, Manuel (Dindy) Branco Jr. of Hilo, Patrick Branco of Honolulu; sisters, Dorothy Wright of Honolulu, Mildred Pacheco of Hilo; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Gabriel Perez

Gabriel Perez, 87, of Waianae, Oahu, died Oct. 2, 2015, at home. Born in Kohala, he was a retired heavy equipment operator and rigger for Holmes &Narver Inc., Raytheon and Kalama Services and an Army veteran.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. Nov. 16 at Nuuanu Memorial Park &Mortuary for an 11 a.m. service. Burial is at Hawaii State Veteran Cemetery. Family requests aloha attire be worn.

He is survived by son, Hauola (Kayle) Perez of Waipahu, Oahu; hanai daughter, Gabriella (Keith Lewis) Crabbe of Hilo; sisters, Florence Perreira and Charlotte Smith, both of Honolulu, Catherine (Clarence) Crabbe of Waianae, Oahu, Loretta Canonizado of Aina Haina, Oahu; two grandchildren; five hanai grandchildren; one hanai great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
