Kamehameha Schools Hawaii will host its annual Christmas concert “Winter Celebration” Wednesday in Keaau.

The concert celebrates the season with song and dance while showcasing the work and talent of its performing arts students. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 6 p.m. at Kamehameha Schools Hawaii’s William Charles Lunalilo Center located at 16-716 Volcano Road in Keaau. Tickets are $8.

The event will feature performances by the high school band, hula kahiko and auana classes and the concert glee and chorus. This year’s concert will also feature a guest appearance by the Kamehameha Alumni Choir — Mamalahoe Chapter.

Proceeds from “Winter Celebration” will help to fund the Hoike A Hai performing arts department trip to Scotland to perform at the American High School Theatre Festival, part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, in August 2016. The event will also feature a silent auction of holiday gift items before the show.
