Byung Hun Lee’s new film Memories of the Sword will be released on DVD and Blue Ray Tuesday.
Lee (Terminator GENISYS, Bittersweet Life, All In, Iris, Masquerade, I Saw the Devil, Red 2, GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra and JSA is in the period piece where an ambitious servant rises in power and eyes the royal family for power. Lee co-stars with Do Yeon Jeon; 60th Cannes Film Festival Best Actress, is also known for her roles in: Lovers in Prague, On Air, Shoot for the Stars, Way Back Home, The Housemaid, Secret Sunshine and Untold Scandal. Three legendary warriors lead a revolt to overthrow the empire and save its people but deceit and betrayal cost the life of a master swordsman.

The King orders to execute Yi Seong-gye’s two sons when he finds out Yi Seong-gye disobeyed him. Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: The King condemns Yi Seong-gye and his family as traitors and orders them to be arrested. Yi Seong-gye and his army breaks through the city gate and seizes the palace. A song goes around town that Yi Seong-gye will become king.

Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Jin-woo bets his talent on Dong-ho to prove his father’s innocence. As Dong-ho prepares for Jae-hyuk’s trial, he finds a shocking truth about his confession. After a spat with Dong-ho, Gyu-man goes back to the summerhouse where the party was held. Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Jae-hyuk’s doctor takes the witness stand but lies that Jin-woo tried to bribe him. Prosecutor Hong, instead of cross-examining the doctor, calls Jin-woo to the witness stand. Jung-ah’s father finds Director Ahn’s business card in his daughter’s journal and calls the prosecutor.

Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Hae-kang responds with hurtful words when Jin-eon asks her to celebrate his birthday with him. Hae-kang gives Tae-seok the evidence Yong-gi has been keeping and asks him to guarantee Yong-gi’s safety. Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Chairman Choi asks Hae-kang if she’ll come back to work as the groups vice-chairman and Hae-kang accepts his offer. Jin-eon catches Hae-kang tearing up while looking at her old pictures. Yong-gi finds her evidence gone and Woo-joo tells her Hae-kang took them.
