John Cruz headlines North Kohala Community Resource Center’s biannual fundraising event 5 p.m. Saturday in Hawi.
“A Great Way to Love Kohala” is being held at historic Puakea Ranch. In addition to entertainment by there will be pupu and dessert samplings from many of Kohala’s restaurants. There will also be a silent auction.
The center is an umbrella nonprofit organization supporting multiple projects in the community. Proceeds of Saturday’s event help fund the administration of the nearly 100 projects. Some of these projects include Bond Memorial Library Restoration, the Hawi Farmer’s Market, Kamehameha Day Celebration, Kohala High School Project Grad and Kohala Radio.
Tickets are $65.
