Michael Carr

Michael Carmichael Carr, 85, of Naalehu died May 22, 2016, at his home. An incorrect date of death was published because of information supplied by the mortuary.

Mary Rosa

Mary B. Rosa, 95, of Hilo died May 26, 2016, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born April 9, 1921, in Honohina, she was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. June 9 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Casual attire and flowers are welcomed. Urn burial will follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section.

She is survived by sons, Richard Tadio, Eugene Tadio, both of Honokaa, Ernest Tadio and James Tadio, both of Hilo; daughter, Caroline (Joe) Correa of Hilo; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

George Paaluhi

George Keoki Paaluhi, 66, of Pahala died May 18, 2016, at his residence. Born April 5, 1950, in Pahala, he was a retired field equipment operator for The Royal Hawaiian Orchards, Inc. He also worked for Ka’u Sugar, Inc., Ka’u Agribusiness Inc. and was member of Mana O-Pio Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council and Youth Program of Pahala and Naalehu.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. June 10 at River of Life Assembly of God, Pahala, for an 11 a.m. celebration of life. Private burial set at a later date. Family requests aloha attire. Flowers and lei are welcome.

He survived by wife, Vicki Paaluhi of Pahala; daughters, Keona (Paris Marques) Paaluhi, Kolina (Roscoe Young) Paaluhi, both of Pahala; one grandson; hanai son, Austin Galigo of Kona; hanai daughter, Helena Sesson of Pahala; brother, Robert (Nora) Kaaua of Hilo; sister, Grace Kaaua of Pahala; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rose Padilla

Rose Drequito Padilla, 56 of Keaau died May 31, 2016, at home. Born April 23, 1960, in Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines, she was a housewife and a former registered nurse in the Philippines, and member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Keaau.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. June 10 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo for a 7 p.m. wake service. Friends may call again at 9 a.m. June 11 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Keaau for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Casual attire.

She is survived by husband, Guil Padilla of Keaau; sons, Guilros Padilla, Garry Padilla, both of Keaau; daughter, Geraldine Padilla of Keaau; father, Rufino Driquito of Keaau; brother, Romeo Drequito of Keaau; sisters, Remy Drequito of Vancouver, Canada, Rosalia Drequito, Rosemarie Drequito, both of Keaau; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Eric Ironhill

Eric Perry Ironhill, 73, of Ocean View died May 22, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Dec. 21, 1942, in Los Angeles, he was a contract administrator for an aircraft company.

Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. June 11 at Kahuku Park in Ocean View for a celebration of life. The family requests casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Connie Colwell of Ocean View; daughter, Michele Ironhill of Ocean View; son, Christopher Ironhill of California; two grandchildren.

Shirley Rogers

Shirley Rogers, 67, died May 21, 2016. She was a master gardener, member of the Keauhou Canoe Club, volunteered for the Hualalai Elderly in Kailua-Kona, Kona Aloha Patrol, and belonged to the Kailua-Kona Senior Center.

A celebration of life and spiritual ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. June 11 at the Keauhou Canoe Club on Keauhou Bay. The service may be viewed live on a webcam hosted at the Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa at Keauhou Bay.
