“Celebrating in Hawaii: Favorite Recipes for Holidays and Special Occasions” featuring easy-to-prepare dishes for all of our islands’ many celebrations and festivities was recently released.

Muriel Miura has spent decades sampling and deciphering Hawaii’s many culinary treasures. In the cookbook, she brings together the choicest dishes Hawaii’s multiethnic population serves at gatherings — from small ones for just a few people to ones for the entire ohana.

The 224-page book, published by Mutual Publishing, features 150 recipes covering appetizers, main dishes, sides and desserts, as well as menus, planning tips, and entertainment ideas.
