Beginner’s Yoga class will be from 4—5 p.m. on Nov. 8 with Kiyomi Falcon. It has both preventive and therapeutic benefits, relieving chronic stress and muscle strain, while relaxing mind and body.

Active Listening attendees can gain information on this communication topic from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 with Yvonne Schallhorn. “You never listen to me … I am sure we had this conversation already … it’s as if I’m talking to a wall.” Does this sound familiar? If so, then this interactive workshop is for you. Participants will gain insight into habits that may be sabotaging efforts to build strong relationships. Go home with tools that are practical and easy to use. Personal awareness is the key to effective listening.

You Make Sense to Me will be held on Nov. 9 from 6—7:30 p.m. with Amy Elizabeth and Marc Gordon, each with a MA in contemplative psychotherapy. In this continuing communications skills series, learn about Imago Dialogue techniques and tools to improve connections with loved ones, help soften in tight situations and lower negative reactivity. The class will explore how to make relationships more meaningful, safe and satisfying. Join whether or not you have attended previous sessions.

Breast Feeding Support will gather from 9:30—11 a.m. on Nov. 10, facilitated by Shanel and Aimée. Breastfeeding and expectant mothers are encouraged to attend this monthly meet-up for mother-to-mother support. Meetings are topical discussion format and keiki-friendly. The group intention is to support education and experience to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of babies, moms and families.

Finding Your Purpose Workshop will be facilitated by Tina Stuart from 5—7 p.m. on Nov. 10. This workshop is designed to help people begin the journey of discovering their purpose. Participants will consider their goals and desires to create an initial draft of their own purpose statement. Participants consistently report that the two hours fly by, are well structured and help them gain clarity and perspective. This workshop is a Blue Zones Project® by Healthways, and is sponsored and brought to Hawaii by HMSA.
