The DLNR Division of State Parks announced this morning the reopening of beaches at Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area and Kekaha Kai State Park, Maniniowali/Kua Bay section.
The reopening comes after a recommendation from Hawaii County Ocean Safety, which deemed the beaches fit for public use after closing them on Thursday due to high surf and wave run-up across the shoreline.
