The Hawaii County Department of Public Works said Kahaluu Beach Park will be closed until further notice because of “plumbing issues.”
The closure announcement came around 5:15 p.m. Friday and the Department of Parks and Recreation was unable to be reached as of press time for further details.
Located off Alii Drive in Keauhou, Kahaluu is visited by 400,000 people annually, according to county estimates in 2014.
