Anna Napihaa

Anna “Annie” Kahue Napihaa, 100, of Hilo died March 26, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 9, 1917, in Hana, Maui, she was a member of Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church in Keaukaha, Mikioi Club, Alu Like Kupuna Program, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hilo; a volunteer at Pomaikai Senior Center and ship’s greeter for the County RSVP.

Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m.April 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo for 10 a.m. funeral Mass. Burial will follow at Alae Cemetery, Section C.

Casual attire.

She is survived by sons, Anthony (Paula Ann) Napihaa of Hilo, Roland Napihaa of California and Everette Napihaa of Hilo; daughters, Patricia Napihaa, Hazel Miller, both of Pahoa, Margaret (Rick Sanico, Jr.) Moore of Honolulu, Mary (Joe Jr.) Farias of Hilo; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Hilario Sadumiano

Hilario Jose Oandasan Sadumiano, 76, of Kailua-Kona died March 25, 2017 in Honolulu. Born Oct. 21, 1940, in Paoay, Ilocos Norte Philippines, he did ground maintenance and janitorial work for the Kona Surf Resort and Keauhou Beach Hotel, was a sorter for United Laundry and did commercial cleaning with Ganir &Co.

Services will be held April 22 at the Old Kona Airport Pavilion. The time will be announced. Info: 329-8470. Condolences may be posted at ballardfamilymortuaries.com.

He is survived by spouse, Epifania; daughter, Michelle Sadumiano of Kailua Kona; sons, Christopher Sadumiano of Las Vegas; Matthew Sadumiano of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Herminio (Merlinda) Sadumiano of Kealakekua, Ricardo (Vicky) Sadumiano of Waimea, Rodrigo (Ruthie) Sadumiano of Ocean View, Manny (Josie) Sadumiano, Benymar (Grace) Sadumiano, Susimo Sadumiano, all of Kailua-Kona.

Charlotte Nakamoto

Charlotte Shizue Nakamoto, 95, of Keaau died March 25, 2017, at a Hilo care home. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired postmaster for the Keaau Post Office and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, Buddhist Women’s Association, Keaau Village Kumiai, Keaau Senior Citizens Club, RSVP, NARFE, and NAPUS.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers. Donations are suggested to Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Women’s Association in her memory.

She is survived by daughters, Alicia (James) Keller of Bowling Green, Ohio, Celese (Ronald) Ishizu of Kailua, Oahu; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
