NHCH hosts community meeting
Next Tuesday, residents are invited to a special meeting to address community health care priorities, concerns and questions facilitated by Waimea Community Association at 5:15 p.m. in Waimea School cafeteria. Speakers will include Art Ushijima, president and CEO of The Queen’s Health Systems, North Hawaii Community Hospital’s President Cindy Kamikawa, the hospital’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Gary Goldberg, and Dr. Lyn Lam, NHCH’s ambulatory services medical director.
Specific topics will include Queen’s affiliation with NHCH; quality of care, vision and mission; the evolving health care landscape; hospital staffing challenges; training and recruitment; facility upgrades; and how to better address community needs and clarify expectations. There will be time for a Q&A.
