Mauna Kea Quilters meeting this Saturday
From 9:30 a.m.-noon Saturday, anyone interested can attend the monthly meeting at Thelma Parker Memorial Library. It will begin with a brief business meeting and then show-and-tell, sharing new ideas and techniques for patchwork quilting.
Each year this group donates quilts for Mala’ai school garden and Relay for Life fundraising events. They also donate quilts to the police, fire department and North Hawaii Community Hospital for those in need. At Christmas time they make and donate quilted stockings and coverlets for needy children.
