FOLK book sale Saturday

The Friends of the Libraries, Kona holds its next book sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday on the Kailua-Kona Public Library lanai.

As always, volunteers are welcome and book donations are accepted at the library. FOLK members and teachers who show their official school identification card receive a 20 percent discount. Books are sold daily in the lobby.

Book group meets in North Kohala

The North Kohala Public Library book group meets Tuesday to go over “A Prayer for Owen Meany” by John Irving.

The discussion gets underway at 11 a.m. at the library in Kapaau.

Fiction book club to discuss ‘Nicotine’

Kona Stories hosts a fiction book club discussing “Nicotine” by Nell Zink on Tuesday.

The group meets at 6:30 p.m. at the store.
