KAPAAU — Kohala CoLab will host their next pop-up event with a youth show from 4-8 p.m. April 14 in Kamehameha Park. The event will showcase work by local children of all ages, not just from schools, but home schooled as well.

The deadline to register to participate in the show is this Friday.

Kohala CoLab is an event development group that began in February. Founded by Marcy Montgomery, Kohala Artists Co-Op, Rick Salas and Anna Flint, CoLab promotes local arts to help enhance collaboration between the artists and their North Kohala community.

“It also helps to make local art and artists more visible,” Montgomery said. “We are encouraging students from public, private and home schooling to participate.”

The group welcomes ongoing art event announcements, encourages multiple artist cross-pollination and invites the public to “do art, be art and support art.”
