Kow earns $10K scholarship

Kona Taco Bell employee Caleb Kow was recently awarded a $10,000 Live Más Scholarship to help him pursue his passion through education. Kow was one of 300 employees and youth selected from nearly 8,000 submissions to receive a share of $3 million in scholarships from the Taco Bell Foundation.

Kow has been a Taco Bell team member for more than a year. He is a graduate of Kealakehe High School, where he was president of the Kealakehe Key Club, a member of the National Honor Society and participated in cross country. Kow will attend UH Hilo in the fall and plans to study biology.

The Live Más Scholarship was designed to help innovators and creators aged 16-24 pursue unique passions that may not necessarily fit into the traditional academic or athletic scholarship categories.
