Senior Fit Club will kick off at 1:30 p.m. on Mondays beginning today, continuing Oct. 15, 22 and 29. There will be a variety of modalities on DVD to choose from. Physical activity is one of the most important steps to take toward improving and maintaining health. Studies show that people who stay active are more likely to live longer and remain independent. Join this DVD-guided weekly exercise class to maintain fitness in the community.

Caregiving Conversations will be from 11 a.m.-noon this Wednesday with professional caregiver Karyn Clay. Whether a caregiver by heart, hire or relationship, join fellow caregivers in sharing stories, support and inspiration.

Tutu’s House Toning Group will meet from 2-4 p.m. Saturday. In ancient times, people used the power of sound to communicate, empower their community, support healthy bodies and for enjoyment and connection. Join Shira Hunt and George Mycroft to reconnect with this process to experience the adventurous and healing power of sound through the vibrations and frequencies of our own voices.

Chair Tai Chi/Chi Kung will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Oct. 8 with Madeline Sofranac, DPT. Enjoy simple, effective hand and leg movements, postures, gentle deep breathing and pressure point techniques while seated in a chair. Recommended for seniors, physically challenged persons and anyone recovering from surgery or living with injuries.
