CAP Wreaths Across America a success

On Dec. 15, Civil Air Patrol cadets of the Kona Composite Squadron and their sponsors participated in the eighth year of supporting Wreaths Across America at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. This is a tradition of placing wreaths on the headstones of our Nation’s fallen heroes at Arlington National Cemetery and hundreds of other veterans cemeteries across the country during the holidays.

The mission – to remember, honor, and teach about the sacrifices made by our veterans – has captured the hearts and minds of many communities across the country.

Thanks to the following for their participation and generous support: American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Hawaii County Council, Home Depot, KTA Super Stores, Stoneworks, West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery, and the countless veteran families and members of our local community that were in attendance.

The Kona Squadron meets every Tuesday evening from 6-8:30 p.m. For information, contact Lt. Col. Brad Williams at ydrwill@gmail.com.or (210) 617-6245.
