Hawaii Island Living &Design Expo this weekend

Coming up Saturday and Sunday, the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce (KKCC) 14th annual Hawaii Island Living &Design Expo will be taking place at the Sheraton Kona Resort &Spa at Keauhou Bay.

Event admission and parking are free and activities will include awards for best booths, prize giveaways and live radio D.J. Darde Gamayo from KAPA FM on Saturday from 12-2 p.m.

This year, event sponsors include HPM Building Supply, Honsador Lumber Corp., Dickinson General Contracting, Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union, Hawaii Gas, Renewable Energy Services, Royal Pools of Hawaii and West Hawaii Today.

More than 40 exhibitors under one roof will provide a spot to get inspired by new home designs, ideas for home improvements and solutions for comfortable living. The expo includes decking, Big Green Egg grill and smokers, Pratt &Lambert and Benjamin Moore paints, as well as brand new products like the Goal Zero Yeti Portable Power Station Solar Generator.

AED training available

Free training available for the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), will take place 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Church Episcopal’s Queen Emma Community Center, 81-1004 Konawaena School Road. Training is open to all.
