Kona cadets take flight

Civil Air Patrol Kona cadets experienced their first orientation flights in Hilo last weekend.

Cadets had the opportunity to fly, hike, learn and practice search and rescue, as well as learn military procedures and customs.

All interested youth ages 12-17 are invited to attend the cadet meetings, held every Tuesday from 6-8:30 p.m. at the building on south side of Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport across from Aloha Cargo next to the Securitas trailer. This is an exciting adventure promoting leadership skills and integrity while being a positive influence in the community.
