Rosemary Miklautsch
Rosemary Miklautsch, 95, of Kailua-Kona, died May 18, 2019, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 27, 1923, in Chicago, she was a hairdresser.
A celebration of life was held June 2 at the Regency at Hualalai.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Mikluatsch of Kailua-Kona; hanai son, Steve (Tom) Zawadzki of Chicago; hanai daughters, Lisa (Steve) McCall of Chicago and Nancy (Paul) Kumiega of Bristol; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Lilia Cabalis
Lilia Peralta Cabalis, 74, of Pahoa died May 21, 2019, at the Pali Momi Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Pangasinan, Philippines, she was a retired lead sales associate at 7-11 in Pahoa, teaching assistant at Headstart Piihonua and a homemaker.
Friends may call 9-10 a.m. June 9 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 10 a.m. funeral service. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire.
She is survived by sons, Robin Cabalis, Jr. of Pahoa, Robby Cabalis of Pahoa, Randy Cabalis of Pahoa, Ricky Cabalis of Pahoa; daughters, Roxanne (Douglas, Jr.) Soares of Pahoa, Raynell (Guy Lee) Cabalis of Pahoa, Lisa (Dennis, Jr.) Delfin of Hilo, Laura (Michael Keaweehu) Cabalis of Kapolei; brother, Mat Peralta, Jr. of Florida; four sisters-in-law; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Daniel Furuya
Daniel Furuya, 42, of San Angelo, Texas, died April 30, 2019, at home. Born May 18, 1976, in Honolulu, he was a telemarketer.

He is survived by father, Glenn Furuya; stepmother, Debbie Furuya; grandfather, Richard Ichikawa; grandmother, Louise Kozuki; sisters, Dahni Kaster and Lindsay Chambers; stepsister, Brooke Nakatsukasa; a nephew and nieces.

Jannalynn Kaleohano
Jannalynn Haunanikalowaimakamei- -leialohahoku “Nani” Kaleohano, 33, of Pahala and Hilo, died March 27, 2019, at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, New York. Born in Hilo, she worked at Keaau High School as a baker and was a member of the Hawaii School Nutrition Association. She also worked at Mizuno Superette, Homeland Security of the Ports, AKAL, and American Guard.
Friends may call 7:30-10 a.m. June 15 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Memorial service and celebration of Mass begins at 10 a.m. Casual attire and flowers and lei are welcomed. Luncheon to follow at Pahala Community Center.

James G. “Kimo” Leialoha, 65, of Hilo, died May 24, 2019, at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired warehouse supervisor with Conen’s Freight and Transport, a member of the Glad Tidings Church and was an avid fisherman.
Visitation 4-5:30 p.m. June 10 at the Dodo Mortuary. Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Aloha attire, no flowers.

Barbara Koontz
Barbara Mae Koontz, of Keauhou died on May 28, 2019, at the Life Care Center of Kona. Born Dec. 26, 1933, in Seattle, she was a retired guitar and music teacher, and avid golfer, a past membership chairwoman of the Keauhou Kona Yacht Club, and past membership chairwoman of the Kona Community Hospital Auxiliary.
A celebration of life service will be held at 5:30 p.m. June 29 at Life Care Center of Kona, 78-6957 Kamehameha III Road in Keauhou.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Koontz. She is survived by daughters, Wendy (Alan) Fraser and Kathy Fraser, of Waikoloa; brother, Don (Louise) Kinell of Los Altos, Calif.; hanai daughters, KC Mestas of Salem, Ore., Julie (Bryan) Coffland of San Carlos, Calif., Tina Ferry of Half Moon Bay, Calif.; hanai sons, Harold (Linda) Koontz of Sunnyvale, Calif., Carl (Kathy) Koontz of South San Francisco, Calif., Paul (Mari) Koontz of Hinesville, Georgia; many grandchildren, a great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
