Chelsea Jensen has been promoted to editor of West Hawaii Today.
Jensen has worked at West Hawaii Today since 2009. During her tenure at the newspaper, she has been a reporter, digital editor and associate editor.
“I am honored to assume this new role,” Jensen said. “We have a talented news team, and I look forward to collaborating with them to make the best newspaper possible for the West Hawaii community.”
Jensen was born and raised in Kailua-Kona. She is a 2003 graduate of Kealakehe High School and later attended the University of Montana, where she earned a degree in print journalism and a minor in history.
Jensen’s ties to West Hawaii Today run deep: Both her mother and father held various positions at the paper before retiring.
West Hawaii Today is operated by Oahu Publications Inc., which also publishes the Hawaii Tribune-Herald, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and The Garden Island (Kauai).
