UPDATE: Hawaii Island police reported Monday that Shayla Smith-Akiona has been located in good health.

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a juvenile female who was reported missing.

Fourteen-year-old Shayla Smith-Akiona was last seen in the Puainako area of Kinoole Street on April 7 at approximately 1 p.m., according to the Hawaii Police Department.

She is described as being 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with long black hair, light complexion, and brown eyes, according the department. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray hoodie, a black T-shirt with “Nike Air” printed in pink along with a black and purple backpack.
