DOH: Only 1 new COVID-19 case in state

As of noon Wednesday, the state Department of Health is reporting one new COVID-19 case, bringing the statewide total to 626.

The new case was on Oahu, bringing the total number of cases for the City and County of Honolulu to 405.

Hawaii County’s case total remained at 74, while the case totals for Maui and Kauai counties remained at 116 and 21, respectively.

Ten of the cases are Hawaii residents diagnosed outside the state of Hawaii.

Statewide, the coronavirus-related death toll stands at 17 — 11 on Oahu and six on Maui.

Of the statewide cases 74, including one Hawaii County case have required hospitalization.

And 558 individuals, or 89.1% of the statewide cases, have been released from isolation.
