It’s rare to hear car horns honking on the streets of Kona, however, on May 6 the administrator, teachers and staff of Makua Lani Christian Academy spent the entire day leaning-in on them while visiting each graduating senior’s home. The caravan brought cheers, posters, and a yard sign to each family in celebration of the accomplishment of finishing the year strong.

Makua Lani has continued the learning process through the quarantine via video conferencing with each student to continue instruction as the students are preparing for their AP exams, their first year in college, and a successful future.

“It was really fun to see their reactions….everyone was blessed and there were even a few joyful tears,” said Kim Dong, director of marketing.
