UPDATE: Big Island police reported Monday that 17-year-old Quintyn Gonsalves, who was reported as a runaway, was found in good health on June 22.

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a juvenile male who was reported as a runaway.

Seventeen-year-old Quintyn Gonsalves was last seen June 12 in the Pahoa area, according to the Hawaii Police Department. He is described as being 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with short light brown curly hair, a fair complexion and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red flannel jacket, black T-shirt, ripped blue jeans and black and gray checkered shoes.
